Delivering P&O services for CALD communities Webinar

Published in July 2019

Join this FREE webinar presented by Northcott, in consortium with Northcott Innovation and AbilityMade (made possible by the NSW Government through the Disability Sector Scale-Up Program).

With Australia’s growing multicultural population and the National Disability Insurance Agency’s (NDIA) focus on providing services to Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, there is a greater need for Orthotists and other P&O professionals to provide culturally sensitive services and supports to their customers and communities. With over 80 years experience in delivering services for CALD communities, Northcott is bringing this knowledge to you, so you can improve your awareness and increase your customer base.

This is an Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association Ltd. (AOPA) accredited webinar (2CPD points)

We will discuss:

  1. Setting yourself up for success
  2. Where to find the information you need
  3. How to implement your new awareness and knowledge: practical strategies
  4. How to access specific CALD communities
  5. Use of language, interpreters and translated materials.
